Back in the 80’s and 90’s, Apple toyed with the idea of launching a line of promotional items, among which included a seemingly one-of-a-kind pair of sneakers.
We know now that the idea never took off — Apple abandoned the plan and made what inventory they had created available to employees only, according to BitRebels.
But somewhere out there is a pair of Adidas sneakers adorned with the Apple logo of old. They are made of white leather and includes Apple’s rainbow icon on the tongue and side.
The sneakers, believed to be the only one of its kind, were reportedly sold to one Apple employee in the mid-90s. In 2007, the sneakers appeared on eBay and were sold for just $79.
Where are they now? Who knows, but odds are someone is sitting on a gold mine considering how much money crazed sneakerheads will pay for shoes these days.
