As with any pair of Kanye West sneakers, once they sell out, expect to see them posted with jaw-dropping prices on Ebay shortly after.
Kanye West and Adidas released the Yeezy Boost 350 on June 27 in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Unsurprisingly, they were in almost under an hour. The initial retail price for the shoes was $200; a quick search on Ebay will show at least a couple of overzealous retailers asking for up to $10,000, neither of which currently have any takers.
While smart people won’t go for the most expensive pairs possible, the average price isn’t too kind to wallets either. A “best match” search on Ebay shows that the average price for the 350s is now five times the initial retail price — expect to pay at least $1,000 if you are trying to get your pair online.
A smart investment? Maybe. Prices could be pushed even higher by next week.
