Andrew Yang’s Anniversary Post to His Wife Evelyn is First Couple Goals
"I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
Andrew Yang has a touching message for his wife Evelyn on their wedding anniversary!
The couple, who first met at Columbia University, obtained a marriage license in 2010 before tying the knot on Jan. 3, 2011, according to public records.
On Thursday, Andrew took to Twitter to celebrate their ninth year as husband and wife, declaring his love for Evelyn as if they just got married.
“Happy Anniversary Evelyn! Nine years ago you officially made me the luckiest guy in the world,” the Democratic presidential candidate tweeted, including a photo from their wedding day. “You are my best friend. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Andrew, who is six years older than Evelyn, graduated from the Columbia School of Law in 1999. He was likely back on campus for an alumni-related event when he met Evelyn sometime between 2006 and 2010.
“He seemed so earnest and genuine,” Evelyn told the Washington Post last year. “I felt like he wore his heart on his sleeve, which was refreshing. I joke with him, even now, it’s like he had no game. He wasn’t trying to game it in any way, and I really love that about him.”
“I was in the exam room, and I was dressed and ready to go. Then, at the last minute, he kind of made up an excuse. He said something about, ‘I think you might need a C-section,’ and he proceeded to grab me over to him and undress me and examine me internally, ungloved.
“I knew it was wrong. I knew I was being assaulted.”
Andrew subsequently commented on the matter, praising Evelyn for coming forward and condemning abuse on women.
“I’m extraordinarily proud of Evelyn for telling her story, and my heart breaks every time I think of what she had to experience. She is my best friend and the bravest woman I know. No one deserves to be harmed and treated the way she and countless other women have been.
“When victims of abuse come forward, they deserve our belief, support, and protection. I hope that Evelyn’s story gives strength to those who have suffered and sends a clear message that our institutions must do more to protect and respond to women.”
Needless to say, the Yang Gang found themselves reeling over Andrew and Evelyn — who might as well be the first couple of the country, since “people are realizing we can win,” the Democratic candidate noted.
