Ali Wong and “Saturday Night Live” alumnus Bill Hader, who were in a relationship for “at least two months” last year, are dating again.
The news of Wong, 41, and Hader, 44, getting back together was recently confirmed by a representative of the “Barry” actor to Entertainment Tonight.
Wong and Hader’s brief relationship last year was made known to the public in December 2022.
Although details of their relationship were mostly kept under wraps before their breakup, a source told Page Six that while Wong and Hader stopped dating because of their busy schedules, their breakup was amicable.
Hader and Wong started dating the same year the “Beef” star went through a divorce with her ex-husband Justin Hakuta.
Before dating Wong, Hader was reportedly in a relationship with fellow actor Anna Kendrick.
Last year, Hader alluded to his relationship with San Francisco-born Wong during an interview with Collider for his show “Barry.”
Without mentioning a name, the “It: Chapter Two” actor told the publication, “My girlfriend and I were just figuring out that I haven’t had a vacation in 10 years. I went with her to San Francisco, but that doesn’t really count.”
In another interview, this time with Deadline, Hader mentioned that he took Wong to a private screening of A24’s “Beau is Afraid,” along with other friends.
While some Twitter users were shocked to learn that the two comedians are dating, others expressed support for their relationship.
“Ali Wong and Bill Hader are dating???” one Twitter user wrote.
“BILL HADER AND ALI WONG ARE TOGETHER SINCE WHEN,” another user said.
Bill Hader and Ali Wong best couple with the best tv shows of the year,” another user declared.
Adding Bill Hader and Ali Wong to my list of WMAF couples I support,” another tweeted.
Meanwhile, others were suspicious of the timing of the relationship announcement, pointing out that Wong’s “Beef” co-star, David Choe, is currently embroiled in a sexual assault controversy.
Please don’t let this Bill Hader news distract from the fact that Ali Wong still hasn’t spoken out about her friend David Choe and his rapist allegations,” one Twitter user wrote.
Lol what a sad little PR move to try and distract from the fact that Ali Wong and Steven Yuen cast an admitted rapist in their Netflix show,” another user wrote in reply to an E! News tweet. “Just release a statement acknowledging what you did was wrong, my god, how hard can it be?”
Nice try – but his will definitely not help her escape from what happened,” another user chimed in.
