Alex Landi has teased his return for the 20th season of “Grey’s Anatomy.”
Back in the scrubs: Landi, 31, posted a photo on Instagram on Jan. 10 that shows himself all scrubbed up while wearing his character’s – Dr. Nico Kim – Grey + Sloan Memorial Hospital ID card.
While he did not reveal much about his comeback, the “Walker” star wrote “Season 20” in the description in all caps.
Catching up: Landi, who is of Korean and Italian descent, joined “Grey’s Anatomy” in Season 15 in 2018. Dr. Nico Kim is an orthopedic surgery fellow who is also the first openly gay male character in the show’s history and the first Asian male surgeon.
Kim left Sloan for the Seattle Mariners baseball team in Season 18. The move also ended his on-off relationship with Dr. Levi Schmitt (Jake Borelli), who is now chief resident. The character was not present in Season 19 and was only referenced when they revealed that he had taken the job for the MLB team.

What fans are saying: Fans of the longtime ABC show took delight in seeing Landi’s teaser. One wrote, “Omggg yess you’re back! Season 19 wasnt the same without you!”
“We better see more dialogue and screentime for Nico,” another fan demanded in capital letters.
“Schmico homecoming I instantly smiled,” another noted, referencing the Schmitt-Nico ship.
