Woman Drives Around South Korean City Throwing $14,000 Out the Window

An unidentified woman generously littered the streets of Daegu, South Korea with 15.8 million won (around $14,000) while driving around last week.
The woman, who is believed to be 51 years old, drove a black “luxury” car to 11 different places between 7:25 a.m. and 8 a.m. on July 19, according to Yonhap News.
Pedestrians who found the bills while on their way to work took them to the police.
It’s unclear why the woman chose to sprinkle a fortune around, but she “expressed a desire to give money to people,” the Korea Herald noted.
She reportedly moved from Seoul to Daegu and gave away the deposit from her previous home.
Anyone picking up dropped banknotes would be liable for theft in South Korea.
Korean netizens commented:
“Seoul, please?”
“Did the heat wave become so serious that it affected minds now?”
“If you have the money to do that, better donate to a hospital.”
Police said that the woman is welcome to claim the recovered sum.
