Woman Caught Brutally Driving Over Helpless Child in China

In a horrifying 40-second video that has gone viral on Chinese social media, a woman is seen driving her scooter over the legs of an already-injured boy.

Another child — a young girl — drags her companion and begs the woman to stop, but to no avail.

The woman, apparently furious, yells at the children. She moves her scooter over the helpless boy, who, according to local reports, is five years old.

The incident is believed to have occurred in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province, according to Shanghaiist. The woman was reportedly detained for investigation afterwards.

Netizens are angered by the disturbing scene, with some calling for a similar punishment (via Weibo):

“My gosh! Are you still human? You will have children sooner or later. Will you do this to your child?”

“The video shows that the woman is deliberately rolling over the child. For whatever reason or motive, this is pure evil.”
