Another child — a young girl — drags her companion and begs the woman to stop, but to no avail.
The woman, apparently furious, yells at the children. She moves her scooter over the helpless boy, who, according to local reports, is five years old.
The incident is believed to have occurred in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province, according to Shanghaiist. The woman was reportedly detained for investigation afterwards.
Netizens are angered by the disturbing scene, with some calling for a similar punishment (via Weibo):
