Residents warned about Asian woman asking children to get in her car in Wisconsin neighborhood

A quiet neighborhood in Kenosha, Wisconsin, is now on high alert after authorities issued a warning over a suspicious driver allegedly engaging with children.
The first incident in the Camp Lake neighborhood occurred just before 2:45 p.m. on Monday, according to reports. Resident Alicia Milostan said her daughters were at a park when the driver of a white Chevrolet Cruze approached them and asked for directions.
“(The car) slammed on its breaks, and I could see my daughter turn to look at the car, which made me register that it stopped, and then the car backed up a little bit,” Milostan, who lives near the park, told FOX6. “You could see my daughter’s face got a little concerned very quickly.”
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department described the driver as an older Asian female. Milostan said the woman was “very persistent” in getting her children into the car.
“She’s 8. Why are you asking an 8-year-old for directions?” Milostan questioned.
The same vehicle stopped for another girl in the neighborhood, according to the sheriff’s department. Similar to the first encounter, the driver asked the girl for directions and then invited her to get inside her car.
These recent incidents prompted the sheriff’s department to increase patrols in the neighborhood and surrounding areas. Anyone with information about the vehicle or its driver is urged to contact the department at 262-605-5100.
