Meet Watanya Wongopasi, the beautiful team manager from Thailand who has emerged as one of the stars from the recently concluded SouthEast Asian Games.
While not an athlete herself, Wongopasi captured many sports lovers’ hearts for helping lead the talented under-23 Thailand national men’s football team in its attempt for another gold finish in the tournament.
Wongopasi, who holds Bachelor of English Language and Literature degrees, has earned the trust of the Football Association of Thailand with her business acumen and leadership.
Dubbed as one of the “Iron Ladies of Thai football” along with women’s football manager Nualphan Lamsam, Wongopasi was invited to fill in this year’s managerial role by the sports organization’s president.
Affectionately referred to as “Madame Dear” by her team, the 32-year-old has earned many fans and admirers, not just for her good looks, but also for her commanding presence in the field.
The former TV news presenter and current president and director at News Network Corp. accepted the managerial task, as she considered it to be a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to do something for her country.
According to the Coverage, the gorgeous football team manager has always wanted to “contribute something in the name of the nation.”
