Russian President Vladimir Putin is simply not a man you want to upset for any reason. If there’s a problem and he hears about it, the former KGB Lieutenant Colonel will show up personally to solve it.
Russian Billionaire Oleg Deripaska, who has a current net worth of $3.2 billion, is the owner of the world’s largest aluminum company. Unfortunately for him, an issue of restarting a factory that employs thousands of Russians was causing a problem for the country, and therefore Putin.
After he rolls into town, Putin calls the factory owners out on their corruption, calls them cockroaches and warns them that the factory will start without them if need be. As if he’s commanding a child, Putin then forces Deripaska to sign an agreement to start the factory back up immediately.
The exchange is captured in this clip from a documentary:
Maybe it was a publicity stunt or maybe Putin really is that intense — either way, just don’t upset him.
