A 7-month-old dog has gone viral after a video showing his undying loyalty to his disabled owner by helping him push his wheelchair through the streets of Davao City, Philippines was posted on social media.
The heartwarming moment was first captured and shared online by Facebook user Misis Faith. L Revilla on June 30.
Revilla was driving along the streets of Davao with her family when they came across the dog, named “Digong” (Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s local nickname), helping his owner by pushing him along the road with his nose.
Just this ordinary afternoon, we felt blessed to have witnessed this extra ordinary sight of an amazing creature helping its master maneuver his wheelchair along seminary drive,” Revilla wrote in the Facebook post. “I mean, I thought it only happens in TV shows, this very scenario. I’m out of words to describe my emotions right now. May the good Lord will bless them both.”
After her video, which has already been viewed over 89,000 times, became widely shared online, it was later revealed that the name of the disabled man was Danilo Alarcon.
The 46-year-old man suffered a spinal injury from a motorcycle accident a few years ago that left him unable to walk, according to Daily Mail.
Revilla, Alarcon, and Digong finally had a chance to meet a few days after the video went viral online. During their meeting, Revilla, who owns a buffet restaurant in the area called Habhab All-You-Can, treated the man to a meal.
The sight is truly heartwarming.
