The Victoria’s Secret angels, complete with their sparkling bras and gorgeous wings, are landing in Asia for the time ever.
Victoria’s Secret has officially announced that the glamorous model show is coming to Shanghai, China, sometime this 2017. “Ni hao, Shanghai. From its iconic skyline to its major fashion cred, China’s vibrant, modern metropolis makes the perfect backdrop for the world’s sexiest runway,” the company wrote.
This year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show is going to be its most racially diverse runway yet. Some of the famous Chinese models that will appear on stage, according to CGTN, include Liu Wen, Xi Mengyao, He Sui, Ju Xiaowen and Xie Xin.
Estelle Chen, the 17-year-old French model of Chinese descent who made her runway debut in 2013, is also set to make an appearance in Shanghai this year.
“Can’t believe it’s happening… I’m incredibly happy to announce that I AM WALKING THE VICTORIA’S SECRET 2017 SHOW,” Chen wrote on her Instagram announcement post. “I’m so thankful for everything that has happened in my life so far, every person I’ve met during these past four years, my family (mum, dad, williams, you’re the best) and my friends who are always by my side no matter what.”
Veteran and angel favorites Adriana Lima, Behati Prinsloo, Alessandra Ambrosio, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Jasmin Tookes, and Candice Swanepoel will also be expected to walk down the ramp in this year’s Victoria’s Secret show in China.
No official word has come yet from Victoria’s Secret regarding the specific runway date for this year’s Shanghai show.
