Former Wanna One member Kang Daniel and TWICE’s leader Park Jihyo are confirmed to be dating, according to the agencies representing the K-pop stars.
JYP Entertainment and KONNECT Entertainment, Park and Kang’s agencies, respectively, confirmed the South Korean pop stars’ relationship on Monday shortly after reports emerged online about the pair dating, reports Soompi.
“Jihyo and Kang Daniel are currently meeting each other with good feelings,” JYPE was quoted as saying in a statement.
Korean news platform Dispatch had reported Monday morning that Kang and Park were spotted while on a date near Kang Daniel’s luxury villa in the neighborhood of Hannam in Seoul on August 1.
The outlet also published images of the said date, which sent waves across the K-Pop fandom scene.
Park is the main vocalist of the internationally renowned female act Twice, while Kang is a solo performer who was formerly a member of the boy group Wanna One which disbanded back in January.
The pair reportedly met last year through a common friend from the Korean entertainment industry, AllKPop reported.
Despite the stars’ busy schedules, the two are able to find time to meet up at least once a week and would always see each other before leaving the country and immediately after returning to Seoul.
