A young child was sucked up into a terrifying tornado that appeared outside a local primary school in northwestern China’s Gansu province.
The sudden cyclone swept up everything in its path including backpacks, jackets and bits of trash, according to Shanghaiist. The force of nature was seen in the middle of the primary school’s sports field in Guazhou county yesterday at around 4:25 p.m.
While a majority of the students evacuated to safety, one poor child was caught in the cyclone and lifted nearly 15 feet off the ground.
After making it back down to the ground, he was promptly escorted to the hospital where he was treated for mild head injuries.
