Olympic Athletes Are All Over Tinder in PyeongChang
By Ryan General
Aside from Olympic medals, some of the athletes participating in the prestigious sporting event in PyeongChang this year are also actively seeking some romance.
These Olympians are reportedly using the dating app Tinder to find their potential mates, as chronicled by new Instagram account @TinderPyeongChang (which has since been deactivated.)
The growing list has so far documented over 50 athletes from what is indeed shaping up to be the thirstiest Winter Olympics yet.
Over the past two days, the account has gathered screenshots of Tinder profiles of athletes from the United States, Denmark, Germany, and Norway, among many others.
It is now an open secret that the Olympic village has become a hotspot where athletes end up hooking up, which is why organizers for recent Olympic events make sure there is no shortage of condoms available for all. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, 450,000 condoms were distributed to the 10,500 competing athletes to ensure each of them got at least 42 condoms.
In the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, where around 2,000 athletes are participating, a record-breaking supply of 110,000 condoms are made available, which is enough for each person to get busy about 50 times.
