Japanese teens voted on the hottest K-pop stars, selecting 17 idols from the ever-growing music genre.
The popularity of Korean pop is rising throughout the world, including in its neighboring country, Japan. As the love for K-pop grows in the island country, its influence can be seen in Japanese fashion, makeup and entertainment.
To determine the hottest K-pop idols in Japan, 20,804 teens were asked to vote on the matter. Check out the results of the survey below, beginning with the men.

1. Jin

Jin of BTS took first place on the list for men.
Known for his sculpted features and 5-foot-10-inch height, the eldest BTS member has been dubbed “worldwide handsome” by fans. Ahead of his impending military service, Jin recently released “Astronaut” in collaboration with Coldplay and was selected as the face of instant noodle brand Jin Ramen.

2. Niki

In second place was Enhypen’s Niki, a Japanese native.
While competing in Hybe’s reality competition show “I-LAND” to debut in ENHYPEN, Niki entranced fans with his charisma and dance skills. ENHYPEN concluded the U.S. leg of their “Manifesto” world tour last month.

3. Lee Know

Lee Know of Stray Kids took third on the list. The dance member is known for both his manly features and 4D personality. Stray Kids is slated to embark to Japan in February and will hold an encore stadium concert in Los Angeles in March as part of their “Maniac” tour.

4. V

Previously named the “Most Handsome Man in the World,” BTS Kim Taehyung, or V, landed fourth on the list.

5. Jungkook

Following close behind his band member, Jungkook came in fifth on the list.
As the youngest member of the renowned group, Jungkook recently made headlines for performing his new single “Dreamers” at the 2022 World Cup opening ceremony in Qatar.

6. Cha Eun-woo

7. Taemin

Astro’s Cha Eun-woo and Shinee’s Taemin completed the list of the hottest male K-pop stars in Japan at No. 7 and No. 8, respectively. Cha Eun-Woo is set to star in the action-thriller film “Decibel,” which the vocalist also contributed an OST for called “Love Sailing.” He will also star in a supernatural exorcism drama called “Island” based on a webtoon of the same name.
Meanwhile, Taemin is still serving his mandatory military enlistment and is expected to be discharged in March 2023.
Next up are K-pop’s most beautiful women, as determined by Japanese teens.

1. Tzuyu

TWICE’s Tzuyu placed first.
Famous for her CG-like beauty, this is not the first time Tzuyu has been noticed for her gorgeous features. In 2017, the Taiwanese singer was ranked third in a list of the “World’s Most Beautiful Faces” and has been consistently popular for her appearance on stage.

2. Sana

3. Mina

4. Jihyo

5. Momo

6. Nayeon

TWICE members dominated the rest of the list as well, with Sana, Mina, Jihyo, Momo and Nayeon voted into the second to sixth positions, respectively.
TWICE’s quick capture of the top positions on the list is a testament to their influence in both Korea and Japan. Notably, the entirety of TWICE’s Japanese line, Sana, Mina and Momo all made it on the list. The trio are slated to form TWICE’s first subunit sometime in 2023.

7. Ayaka

Ayaka from Japanese JYP girl group NiziU took seventh, breaking TWICE’s streak on the list.

8. Dahyun

However, voters were not done with TWICE, as the popular girl group’s rapper Dahyun placed eighth.

9. Lisa

10. Jisoo

The selection of the most beautiful women in K-pop concludes with BLACKPINK’s Thai member Lisa and designated visual Jisoo, who took ninth and tenth place, respectively. BLACKPINK concluded the North American portion of their “Born Pink” world tour last week.
