Thailand Has a Jail-Themed Hotel To Fulfill Your Prisoner Fantasies

Welcome to Sook Station Hostel — the old-timey, prison-themed hotel located in Udom Suk in the Bang Na district of Bangkok.

Influenced by the “Shawshank Redemption”, guests are treated to black and white striped decor, barred windows, striped pajamas, and even get their mug shot and a “criminal record” upon check-in.

There are two rooms to choose from: one with a standard queen-sized bed and “authentic” bunk-beds and the other with just the bunks.

The room with a queen bed has its own private bathroom; the bunks-only room has a shared bathroom.

Unlike a real jail, the hotel features a garden, event space, hot tub, and even a cafe.

The room prices range from 1080 Baht (approximately $30) to 2000 Baht (about $60).
