Viral video shows elephant sticking its trunk into woman’s hotel room and poking her awake

  • A woman sleeping in a resort in Chiang Mai, Thailand, was woken up by a curious elephant who stuck its trunk through the window of her room and gently poked the woman.

  • The viral video uploaded to Instagram describes how the resort’s elephants blow air and wake you up “instead of the reception call or your alarms.”

  • The video has garnered 64 million views and 2.6 million likes since being uploaded on July 19.

While sleeping at a resort in Chiang Mai, Thailand, a woman woke up to a curious elephant poking its trunk through the window of her room.

On July 19, content creator Sakshi Jain shared a video of the adorable moment on Instagram.

“This resort in Chiang Mai, Thailand has elephants waking you up instead of the reception call or your alarms. Even more better that you can walk, feed, bath and play with them close up. This experience was something different,” Jain wrote.

She added that she woke up after feeling “air blow from her trunk.”

Instagram users flooded the comment section with heart-struck emojis while expressing their desire to someday visit the resort.

“On my bucket list,” one user wrote.

“I want the elephant to wake me up too,” another user commented.

The video has garnered 64 million views and over 2.6 million likes since being uploaded.
