Popular Japanese comedian Ryota Yamasato announced in a press conference on June 5, his marriage to actress and model, Yu Aoi.
Widely known for his role as a panelist on the hit Japanese reality show “Terrace House,” Yamasato is usually found on the screen jeering and making comments about the contestants and their pursuit of romance.
However, it would seem that Yamasato has found love for himself, with 33-year-old renown actress, Yu Aoi.
Yamasato, or “Yama-chan” is a member of the comedy duo,” Nankai Candies,” while Aoi is an award-winning lead actress of “Birds Without Names,” according to the Mainichi.
Supposedly the pair were introduced to each other by Shizuyo Yamasaki, the other member of the Nankai Candies.
The newly weds appeared at a press conference, along with Yamasaki, and revealed that prior to tying the knot, they had been dating since April.
When asked why they decided to get married Yamasato said,“She’s friendly and nice, and I had chemistry with her.”
“He made me laugh so hard. He’s kind,” Aoi doted on her new husband.
