Huang Junkai, a 13-year-old teen from Shanghai, China, recently beat his own world Double Dutch record during an international competition.
At the recent Double Dutch Contest Shanghai Vol. 5 last Sunday, Huang smashed his own record after he skipped 136 times in just 30 seconds, which equates to an average of 9.07 times per second, Global Times reported.

“This is the fifth time I participated in Double Dutch Contest Shanghai,” Huang was quoted as saying. “I practice every Tuesday and Friday from 3 to 5 pm.”
However, the new record is not as high as the one that he allegedly set unofficially during training. His coach, Li Yue, claimed that he once jumped 143 times in 30 seconds.
“Huang is an ambassador of Double Dutch. Previously not many people knew about the sport,” the coach said.

Huang, along with his teammates Jiang Dali and Jin Zhenyu, set the record last year, Sept. 24, on the set of CCTV’s Impossible Challenge in Langfang, Hebei, China where the teen managed to Double Dutch-style skip 133 times in 30 seconds, according to Guinness World Records.
