The latest recruits of Taiwan’s police force have become instant internet celebrities soon after their adorable photos were first shared online.
On Wednesday, Taiwan’s National Police Agency (NPA) shared the images of the newest members of their K-9 squad on Facebook and the public could not get enough of their cuteness. Just look at them:
Lucky Star, Schumann, Feida, Brother, AJ and Full Moon, who are about to undergo their training soon, are certainly not just for show.
The month-old puppies are all set to play a huge role as part of the K-9 Anti Bomb And Drug force and Blood Detection units in Taipei.
It is also worth noting that the future crime-fighting puppies will be walking the same steps as their mothers who are currently on active duty.
“The puppies’ mom, named Yellow, is in the K-9 unit… the department that [deals with] anti-drug and anti-bomb [issues],” an NPA representative told Mashable.
“We hope that in the future the puppies can be like their mother Yellow, that they can pass through training successfully and enter the police force,” the NPA wrote on its Facebook page.
For now, the cuddly pups still spend most of their time taking naps and eating a lot as they get ready for their training, Taiwan’s Police Captain Pan revealed, according to BoredPanda.
“Sometimes, [Lucky Star] would fall asleep while eating, and then he would wake up suddenly and carry on eating like nothing happened. How could people not love something as cute as that?” the captain asked.
