In honor of the 29th Summer Universiade Games, Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, transformed the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) subway cars into realistic simulations of sport venues.
To spread hype over the 2017 games, which will take place from August 19 to August 30, Taipei’s subway cars now resemble major sporting events such as track and field, soccer, baseball, basketball, swimming and athletics throwing.

The Universiade games is the second largest international sporting event behind the Olympics.
Back in 2011, the International University Sports Federation voted unanimously for Taipei to host the games, winning against Brasilia, Brazil.
More than 10,000 athletes from 150 countries are expected to compete in the opening ceremony at the Taipei Stadium, Taiwan News reported.
