South Korean indie artist Cheeze releases new EP ‘Blank’

  • South Korean singer-songwriter Cheeze released her new EP “Blank” on Thursday. 
  • The EP contains six songs in total, including the previously dropped single “Pong Dang” and the track“Room for You,” which is a collaboration with Cheeze’s fellow Magic Strawberry Sound labelmate 10cm.
  • Aside from her own music projects, Cheeze is well-known for appearing on the OSTs of popular K-dramas such as “Start-Up,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” and “It’s Okay Not to be Okay.” 
  • The singer-songwriter was part of a four-member indie band named Cheeze that debuted in December 2011 with the single “Home Alone,” but members Moodi, Yasu and Cloud left in 2013, 2015 and 2016, respectively. Im now goes by two stage names: Cheeze and Dalchong.

South Korean indie artist Cheeze, born Im Hye-kyung, dropped a new EP titled “Blank” on Thursday.

“Blank,” which is the first EP that Cheeze, 30, has released since 2020’s “I Can’t Tell You Everything,” features six songs in total: the previously dropped single “Pong Dang,” “Even If Time Passes,” “Midsummer Night,” “HAPPI,” a solo acoustic version of “Room for You” and a duet version with fellow Magic Strawberry Sound labelmate 10cm, who released his new single “Gradation” in July.
