The New York Police Department is now looking for the unnamed man who attempted to rape a female employee of a spa in Queens.
According to the police, the man, believed to be 35 years old, posed as a customer of Health Foot Spa in Jamaica, Queens. AMNewYork reported that around 10:30 p.m., the unnamed man asked a female employee of the establishment to use the bathroom.
The 49-year-old female employee then accompanied and showed the suspect to the bathroom. Police reported that the man forced the woman inside the room and attempted to remove her clothes. During the struggle, the suspect slapped the victim’s face and bit her chest.
The police report continued to note that the suspect had immediately fled the scene soon after he heard the other people in the building.
The spa owner, who is a close friend of the victim, was not at the establishment at the time of the incident, CBS New York reported. The unnamed victim was reportedly visiting from China.
Authorities have released an image of the suspect on Monday. The police is asking anyone who might have information regarding the man to contact them at the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
