Meet the Second Chinese Model to Walk For Victoria’s Secret

She became the second model of Chinese descent after Liu Wen to walk for Victoria’s Secret.
Born and raised in Zhejiang, China, the 26-year-old stunner began her modeling career at the age of 17, according to a New York Magazine profile.
While enrolled in high school, a Chinese modeling contest victory landed her a contract with China Bentley Culture Development Co. in Beijing.
Four years later, Sui made her runway debut in the Spring/Summer 2011 runway season for the “Love, Sex, and Money” runway show.
In the Fall/Winter 2011 season, Sui opened for Ralph Lauren and Vivienne Tamin New York.
She was immediately noticed by industry insiders and was named one of New York Magazine’s Fall 2011 Top 10 Faces. In the same year, Style.com included her in its top newcomers list.
She has appeared in various ready-to-wear shows for top brands such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Missoni, Hermes, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta Dior, Mugler, Helmut Lang, Y-3, Hermes, and Hervé Léger.
Selected to be the first Asian global spokesmodel for Shiseido, Sui became the first Chinese model to represent the popular Japanese brand.
In the span of five years, Sui has appeared on the covers for Vogue Thailand, Australia, and China. She’s also been featured in Vogue UK and Italy.
Spreading her wings to other ventures, she joined the cast of the Chinese blockbuster film “You Are My Sunshine” in 2015.
Although Sui has appeared in every Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show since 2011, she has yet to reach full-fledged Angel status.
