There are many reasons why successful people like entrepreneurs, celebrities and artists wear the same thing everyday. These reasons can range from making life simpler to just being smart with your money. However, there are also scientific reasons behind it.

Daniel Levitin, cognitive neuroscientist and author of “The Organized Mind: Thinking Straight in the Age of Information Overload”, told Daily Mail that making tough decisions requires neurons to burn glucose.

However, when those neurons get depleted, your brain suffers a decision fatigue, which produces brain fog making it hard to concentrate. Levitin says that small decisions like what to eat for breakfast or what you’ll wear contribute to the burning of glucose.

“If you can simplify your life and have the same thing for breakfast or wear the same thing every day, it frees you up to use your decision making for other things.” Levitin said.

Here’s our list of 8 successful people who wear the same thing everyday:

During his first ever public Q&A session on November 2014, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg explains why he wears the same t-shirt everyday:

“I really want to clear my life to make it so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve this community.

“I’m in this really lucky position, where I get to wake up every day and help serve more than a billion people. And I feel like I’m not doing my job if I spend any of my energy on things that are silly or frivolous about my life.”
