A second-year nursing student from the Jiangsu Nursing Vocational College was recently awarded free tuition after a video of him saving a man who collapsed in Shanghai, China during the holidays went viral online.
In the clip, which was taken during China’s National Day holiday earlier this month, the unnamed student can be seen performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a passed out middle-aged man on a street in Shanghai, according to Shanghaiist.
The now-viral video then managed to catch the attention of the student’s college. Last week, he was awarded with his full tuition fee paid for the remainder of his studies, as well as having all of his housing fees waived.
