Nursing Student Gets Free Tuition After Video of Saving Man in Shanghai Goes Viral

In the clip, which was taken during China’s National Day holiday earlier this month, the unnamed student can be seen performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a passed out middle-aged man on a street in Shanghai, according to Shanghaiist.

A crowd can be seen gathering around the unconscious man as they watch the student vigorously pump the man’s chest to save his life.

The now-viral video then managed to catch the attention of the student’s college. Last week, he was awarded with his full tuition fee paid for the remainder of his studies, as well as having all of his housing fees waived.
