‘Spy x Family Code: White’ film releases first trailer

The first teaser for “Spy x Family’s” first-ever animated film was shared on Sunday.

About the teaser: The 33-second clip was shared by Toho Animation on platforms such as YouTube earlier this week. “Spy x Family Code: White” follows the Forgers — Loid, Yor and Anya — as they go on a family vacation that’s anything but relaxing.

Although the Kazuhiro Furuhashi-directed film features the main characters from Tatsuya Endo’s manga series “Spy x Family,” its plot notably does not follow any preexisting arcs of the manga.

About the ‘Spy x Family’ anime: The hit series’ first season premiered in Japan in April 2022. The show follows Loid, a spy who is tasked to complete a mission by getting married and adopting a child. He builds a family with Yor, an assassin, and Anya, a child telepath.

Since its premiere, the show has garnered several nominations and awards, including best comedy, best new series, best ending sequence and best supporting character (Anya Forger) at the 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.

Other details: “Spy x Family Code: White,” which is supervised by Endo himself, will be released on Dec. 22.
