South Korean Parents Jailed After Raping Their Kid’s 20-Year-Old Teacher

They received prison sentences of 12, 13 and 18 years from the Mokpo district on Thursday, AFP reported. Two of them are parents of students in the teacher’s class.

The 20-year-old victim was raped on the island of Heuksan in May.

The victim was later brought home where the crime occurred.

The case stirred discussion among female teachers working on remote islands who claimed feeling pressured into eating and drinking with parents.

Apparently, support from parents has been instrumental to school operations and teachers found it hard to say no.
