South Korean footballer Cho Gue-sung, who wears No. 9 for South Korea’s national football team, has gone viral after capturing the hearts of World Cup fans worldwide.
Cho Gue-sung was born on January 25, 1998, in Ansan-si, South Korea. During his time at Gwangju University, Cho played for his school’s team, training to eventually become a top goalscorer in the 2022 K League 1.
The handsome athlete began his professional career in 2019 and made his official World Cup debut this month. Standing at 6’2″, Cho plays the forward and striker positions on both the Jeonbuj Hyundai Motors and South Korea national team. 
Videos of Cho quickly began circulating on social media following South Korea’s match against Uruguay on Thursday.
From inquiring about his marital status to discovering a new reason to watch the sport, Cho has become the center of attention for many. As seen on social media, the love for the young football player spans countries and languages.

In less than a week, his Instagram account notably surpassed 1 million followers.
During his team’s recent match against Ghana on Monday, Cho made headlines for scoring both of South Korea’s goals.
Fans were once again captivated by him, taking to social media to document their reactions.
Although South Korea lost their match against Ghana on Monday with a final score of 2-3, fans expressed their enthusiasm for the match and congratulated the team.
