If you want to take your selfie game to the next level for National Selfie Day, you’ll have to travel all the way to South Korea.
Life Studio is a pop-up photography studio that offers South Korean selfie takers hundreds of resources, including various makeovers, props, different background colors and themes to make your pictures look like they were shot professionally.
Selfie studios have become extremely popular among the youth in South Korea, with several attractions available in convention centers around the country.
Opening dates for the summer season are already underway through the end of August.
Life Studio is also a perfect place to take a significant other out on a date.
According to the Malaysian Digest, selfie studios became a trend in Asia around 2014, and there are now dozens of similar businesses in Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand.
“Selfie is here to stay,” Vien Wong, who opened a selfie studio in Hong Kong called Snaparty with her friend Ellen Chan, told China Daily back in 2014.
“It’s not just a fad. It’s a part of the lifestyle of the post-90s generation.”
