Finally, the new Disney’s live action film “Mulan” will be released tomorrow September 4 on Disney+ channel. You will hear my Guzheng performance in its soundtrack. 😄 💪 A group of musicians based in the Los Angeles area including myself, performed the new theme song “Loyal Brave True” with Christina Aguilera at Jimmy Kimmel Live! on March 10, 2020. That show was the last one with a live audience before the Covid-19 Lockdown. During the lockdown, we decided to collaborate and make this cover song video. Each of us filmed and recorded ourselves at home to make this virtual performance video. Instruments being played in video are Violin, Cello, Piano, Drums, Taiko Drum, and the traditional Chinese instrument Guzheng (pronounced as goo-jeng) We hope this song and movie will cheer people up and help us to get over this difficult time. We look forward to performing live together in the future ❤️❤️ Full video on YouTube https://youtu.be/1Sa4YREOxkA @jpargman @kayyeh @naokomarimba @samzeman23 #guzheng #古筝 #迪士尼 #花木兰 #刘亦菲 #mulan #mulan2020 #loyalbravetrue #xtina #abc7eyewitness

A few nights ago, I had the incredible opportunity to perform at halftime for Chinese Heritage Night at @staplescenterla for the @laclippers vs @atlhawks game! It was my first NBA game, and it was so surreal to sing at a venue that I never imagined I’d ever get to perform at. Here are some pics and videos from the night, courtesy of @emra_visuals @myxtv and @laclippers ❤️ My first song is a Mandarin cover of “Yellow” (lyrics by 郑钧 (Zheng Jun) and performed by 李文琦 (Li Wenqi) on The Voice of China) that I recorded for Crazy Rich Asians and my second song is “Good Time” by @owlcityofficial ft. @carlyraejepsen 😊 So honored to have shared the stage with @simuliu and @hudsonyangfotb; I am so inspired by their work as artists and as people and it was surreal to meet them in person. So incredibly grateful to @tracegaynor and @roslynnc for approaching me for this opportunity and to my wonderful dad @jzhinstgm for accompanying me the whole night and calming me down when I was a puddle of nerves!
