A 4-year-old girl was over the moon after Tottenham Hotspur striker Son Heung-min waved back at her at a football match in December 2021.
The adorable moment was filmed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before Tottenham’s match against West Ham United Football Club on Dec. 22, 2021, according to Daily Mail. Young football fan Delilah Thorpe was filmed by her mother Demiee as she tried to get the attention of Son while he was warming up nearby.

The video, shared by Demiee on Instagram and Twitter on Monday, shows Delilah shouting, “Sonny, I love you!” and gleefully waving at the South Korean player before his match. After several attempts to get his attention, Delilah then turns to her mother and says, “He can’t hear me,” to which her mother replies, He did. He is a bit busy.”
Moments later, Delilah tries her luck again, and her idol finally waves back at her. “He waved at me!” she says with a grin.
Demiee, who lives with her family in West Sussex, told Daily Mail that Son is Delilah’s favorite player because “he always plays good,” and she “loves watching him score because when he scores, he pretends to hold a camera.”
Delilah shared that she and her mother call Son the “smiliest boy,” because “he is always smiling.”
Unfortunately, she has never met him, but it would be a dream to meet him,” Demiee said. “Delilah has supported the Spurs her whole life.”
Delilah attended her first Tottenham football match in August last year. According to her mother, “she has never missed a game on TV.” Tottenham won the Dec. 22 match against West Ham 2-1 after players Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn scored two goals.
