Vietnamese hip-hop fans are elated over a video clip of American rapper Snoop Dogg incorporating some lyrics from a popular Vietnamese rap track while jamming some rap tunes.
The now-viral video featured Snoop Dogg singing words from “Chay Ngay Di” (Run Now), one of the many hit songs from popular Viet rapper Son Tung M-TP.
The artist is shown having fun with his friends and singing a part of what appears to be a new, unreleased track when he spoke the line “Chạy ngay đi” at the 0:20 mark.

Uploaded by Instagram account @danrue last week, the original footage has since racked up over 600,000 views.

“Chay Ngay Di” is among the most watched Asian music videos on YouTube, reaching 22 million views in the 24 hours after its release. As of this writing, the video has generated over 106 million views.

Composed by Son Tung himself, “Chay Ngay Di” is a hip-hop/trap-influenced R&B track. While Snoop sang just a single line from “Chay Ngay Di,” it has certainly got Vietnamese fans excited.
Tung, who has produced numerous hits, has a growing local and international fanbase.

Fans have been hoping for a collaboration between the two rappers after Snoop Dogg shared a post on Snapchat with him on set with Son Tung M-TP back in December.

In the clip, which also went viral among Vietnamese fans, Snoop Dogg can be heard saying: “Live on the set with Son Tung, you understand me?”
Tung then says, “Exactly,” before Snoop ends the video, saying: “It’s going down.”
There has been no official announcement of any form of collaboration between the two artists so far.
