A Chinese woman who fears that her grandfather may not live long enough until she finds “the one” took the liberty to become a “bride” and pose with him in “wedding” photos.
Fu Xuewei, 25, said that her grandfather, 87, had been wishing to see her walk down the aisle.
After her parents divorced when she was 10, Fu started living with her grandparents until she left for Switzerland and Singapore at 18.
She treats them like close friends, taking them to local and international trips — including night clubs!
Unfortunately, her grandfather fell ill back in September and has not recovered since. Doctors warned that he could die any time.
The old man also suffered from a cerebral stroke two years ago, in addition to a history of heart disease, according to Chengdu Business Daily.
The news broke Fu’s heart. Since then, she vowed to make every moment with her grandfather count. Most recently, she fulfilled her grandfather’s wish of seeing her as a “bride” by having their “wedding” pictures taken!
Fu, a young entrepreneur based in Chengdu, shelled out 3,000 yuan ($475) for a spread of photos that showed her in her wedding glory.
The photoshoot came as a surprise for her grandfather, who was still receiving an IV infusion when he arrived at the studio.
The pair’s photos have since gone viral on Chinese social media.
Aside from their “nuptial” photos, Fu also shared her tattoo of her grandfather, constantly reminding her of him.
“I had my grandfather’s portrait tattooed on my arm in January because I want my new friends and my children to be able to know what he looks like in the future.”
