Woman Arrested After Stripping in Singapore’s Subway

A 35-year-old Caucasian woman was arrested at the Pioneer MRT station in Singapore after stripping naked on the station’s platform for unknown reasons.
Police from the station reportedly received a call requiring their assistance with an unclothed woman on the train platform at around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to TODAY.
Photos of the incident, which were taken by an unnamed person who was at the station at the time, began circulating online. Facebook user Patrick Tan posted one of the pictures online.

It shows the woman with only one sock on her right foot hugging a man believed to be her companion while an elderly female station staff can be seen standing near them.
In the other picture, posted on Facebook by Shin Min Daily News, the station employee can be seen assisting the woman by wrapping her body with a towel as she grips the hands of her male companion.

The woman, whose name and nationality was not revealed, was arrested by the authorities under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act.
Under this act, those who are reported to be mentally ill and believed to be dangerous to themselves or to other people must be taken by a police officer to a doctor for examination or to a psychiatric facility.
