Celebrity Jeopardy!” had a hilariously awkward moment when Marvel star Simu Liu poked fun at actor Ike Barinholtz’s answer to a question about Filipinos.

Liu, 33, faced off against Barinholtz, 45, and comedian Iliza Shlesinger, 39, during the first-ever semifinals of “Celebrity Jeopardy!” on Sunday.

During the show, the contestants were given the clue “October is the history month for this Asian American ethnic group that includes Olivia Rodrigo and Jo Koy,” prompting Barinholtz to answer, “What are Filipinos?”

Although show host Mayim Bialik awarded Barinholtz money for his question, Liu found an opportunity to tease the “Suicide Squad” actor.

Responding to how Barinholtz worded his answer with “what” instead of “who,” Liu jokingly asked, “What do you mean, ‘What are Filipinos?’ What do you mean by that, Ike?”

Oh my god, that’s not what I meant,” Barinholtz replied. “You have to answer in the form of a question.”

The “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” star, who played for nonprofit organization Stop AAPI Hate, turned to Shlesinger and asked, “Did you hear him? I heard him.”

The actor’s hilarious response was well-received by several Twitter users, viewing it as nothing more than good-natured teasing. However, some users expressed gratitude to Liu for what he said.

Thank you for speaking out and correcting him. ⁣I appreciate you, Simu,” one user commented.

This is so funny. I love @SimuLiu so much. Thanks for standing up for my people,” another user wrote. “Poor @ikebarinholtz.”

Liu reached the semifinals of “Celebrity Jeopardy!” after a wild comeback during the show’s first episode, which was aired on Sept. 25. Unfortunately, Liu’s run on the show ended on Sunday after Barinholtz won the semifinals, leaving the “Marvel” star and Shlesinger with $50,000 each for their respective charities.
