“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” star Simu Liu and his abs are sharing the limelight after he took to Instagram to post a shirtless photo from the set of his upcoming film “Arthur the King,” co-starring Mark Wahlberg.
Directed by Simon Cellan Jones, the new movie is an adaptation of the book “Arthur: The Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home,” which tells the story of a Swedish adventure racing team who discover a wounded stray dog during a 400-mile race through the jungles of Ecuador, according to Deadline.
In the Instagram post, which was shared after New Year’s Day, Liu rounds up his most memorable moments of 2021, with a photo of his abs alongside Wahlberg coming in at No. 1.
Other shots include a picture of him with the cast of “Shang-Chi,” making the cover of Men’s Health, and hosting “Saturday Night Live” for the first time, among many other memories.
Fans took to the comments section to wish him a Happy New Year and congratulated the Chinese Canadian actor on his successful 2021.
“What an amazing year of accomplishments! So happy for you. Excited for what’s to come ❤️,” one commenter wrote.
Some Instagram users couldn’t stop focusing on his abs.
“This is my cause of death: you being [too] fine😵,” a fan replied.
Others brought up Liu previously backtracking on his criticisms of new co-star Wahlberg’s past actions.
“Did I miss something? Didn’t you call out Mark Wahlberg for hate crimes against the Asian community? What happened there?” one follower said.
A release date for “Arthur the King” has yet to be announced.
