SHINee releases first new music in over 2 years
K-pop boy group SHINee have returned to the music scene after more than two years with their new studio album “Hard.”
About the album: Released by SM Entertainment on Monday, “Hard” is led by its title track of the same name.
Rounding out the four-member group’s eighth studio album are nine other B-sides, including “JUICE,” “10X,” “Sweet Misery,” “Like It” and “The Feeling,” the latter of which also received a music video earlier this month in celebration of the group’s 15th anniversary.
Performing live: Ahead of their recent comeback, SHINee performed a series of concerts at the KSPO Dome in Seoul over the weekend. During these performances, the group performed several songs from “Hard” live for the first time.
“Hard” marks SHINee’s first new music as a group in over two years. The album follows their repackage album “Atlantis,” which was released in April 2021. SHINee previously released their seventh studio album, “Don’t Call Me,” in February 2021.
Members’ status: Member Onew did not participate in the KSPO Dome concert series as he is currently on hiatus due to health issues. Meanwhile, the group’s youngest member, Taemin, recently completed his mandatory military service.
