Hello, Everyone!

Chinese hackers targeted government email accounts in an intelligence-gathering operation, gaining access in May and remaining undetected until June, Microsoft revealed.

Approximately 25 organizations, including government agencies, were compromised by the hacking group which used forged authentication tokens to access individual email accounts. While the breach was smaller in scale than recent high-profile intrusions, such as the SolarWinds hack, it could still provide valuable information to the Chinese government and strain U.S.-China relations.

The attack exposed vulnerabilities in Microsoft's cloud security and raised concerns about the security of cloud computing for sensitive government data.

This decision comes as Japan continues to debate LGBTQ+ rights, with recent developments including a bill promoting understanding of sexual minorities and court rulings deeming the ban on same-sex marriage as unconstitutional.
