Hello, everyone!

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a case about whether American Samoans should be granted birthright U.S. citizenship.

SCOTUS denied the petition brought by three American Samoans living in Utah who argued their status as U.S. nationals rather than full citizens was unconstitutional because it robbed them of critical rights like voting, running for office or having certain jobs.

The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled last year the constitution did not give full citizenship to those born in U.S. territories. Meanwhile, the government of American Samoa has said that such an issue is polarizing for its residents and should be solved politically and not through the courts.

Would you take a class to learn Korean or Korean culture?

I have taken a modern Korean history course during college. My professor called my paper about the Korean Cultural Nationalists basically graduate level.

Iโ€™ve also written various papers about K-pop for different classes like my economic profile about YG Entertainment as my final project in my global digital industries course or my human rights final paper about Tzuyu from K-pop girl group TWICE.

Sincerely,

Daniel Anderson
