Shanghai Woman Has Lavish Affair With Her Boss, Puts it All on Instagram

A young woman working in Shanghai took to Instagram, an app banned in China, to document her lavish affair with her boss.
The young woman, who calls herself “Molly”, works for an unknown firm in Shanghai. Her face is never visible in the pictures.
She described her duties on her account as “I do stuff for my boss during the day; my boss does me at night.”
Her Instagram documented her lavish lifestyle for the last six months throughout Asia, according to Oriental Sunday who broke the story.
The woman described in her captions that her affair with her boss is fueled by pay bonuses, luxurious dinners, hotel stays and tropical vacations.
An ordinary photo of herself included the caption, “I messed up at work today, now i’m going to be punished.” Another, while on vacation with her read, “Happy Holidays! I’m just topping up my tan.”
Her account, which has since been deactivated due to the exposure in the media, was leaked online by Chinese media. While Molly’s actions can easily be criticized for a number of reasons, her Instagram was hardly met with surprise for most.

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

Also important to separate verified details from rumors so this does not spiral online.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.

This is where official reporting and support channels need to be visible and easy to access.

Can NextShark keep a timeline thread here as updates come in? That would help keep context in one place.
