K-pop superstars SEVENTEEN will join the lineup at the inaugural LA3C festival at
LA3C, which stands for “Los Angeles, the Capital of Culture & Creativity,” will be headlined by Megan Thee Stallion and Maluma. Rap legend Snoop Dogg, who recently collaborated with BTS, will perform as a guest performer as well.
According to a press release, the event will showcase Los Angeles’ wide array of multicultural food, art and talent.
Jay Penske, chairman and CEO of PMC, the parent company putting on LA3C, said about the festival: “We are proudly building an event with a significant long-term vision. Right now, being together in person means so much to us all. Our event will be a place to celebrate and give back to this incredible city and the people who make it so unique.”
SEVENTEEN’s participation adds to a long list of accomplishments for the PLEDIS Entertainment artists. They made K-pop history at last month’s VMAs by becoming the first K-pop act to win Push Performance of the Year. Around that time, they also dropped a collaboration version of their single “_WORLD” with British pop singer Anne-Marie.
“_WORLD” is the lead track of their July album “SECTOR 17.” It is a repackage of their May album “FACE THE SUN,” which helped the group reach their highest peak yet at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
The 13-member act recently concluded the North American circuit of their “BE THE SUN” world tour. NextShark reviewed their Seattle concert and called them “nothing short of iridescent with a spectrum of a showman’s spark.”
In related news, wellness platform Mindset by Dive Studios recently launched SEVENTEEN member Vernon’s collection of personal stories.
