Following Apple’s newest release of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, Samsung uploaded a snarky tweet implying that the “deep purple” iPhone copied their Bora Purple Galaxy Z Flip4 smartphone.
On Sep. 7, Apple officially introduced the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, revealing a new “deep purple” color option for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.
In response to the new color, Samsung uploaded a tweet on the same day stating, “Cool Story Bro,” with the O’s replaced with purple circle emojis.

At the annual “Samsung Unpacked” event in August, the new Galaxy Z Flip4 was introduced along with a new color option called “Bora Purple,” inspired by BTS’ official group color “borahae,” meaning “I purple you” in Korean.
BTS fans speculated on Twitter that Apple had taken inspiration from BTS and Samsung’s newest purple option. Samsung’s Twitter account responded to many users with witty responses. 
One user uploaded a meme comparing the Samsung Galaxy S22 and the iPhone 14. Samsung responded to the tweet stating: “It’s so nice of you to try to boost their self-esteem. We love your kindness!”

Another user pointed out that Apple’s low power mode has always been a part of Samsung’s Galaxy watch feature. Samsung responded to the user stating: “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!”

In one tweet, Samsung poked fun at Apple for not releasing foldable phones yet.
“Let us know when it folds,” Samsung wrote.

Preorders for the latest iPhones will be available on Apple, Walmart and Best Buy’s website from Sep. 9 to Sep. 16. The iPhone 14 starts at $799 for 128GB while the iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999 for 128GB.
