The post uploaded in March 2019, which shows Okyere and actress Park Eun-hye standing together, attracted much attention when one of his followers said, “Cute, once you go black you never go back. Lol.”
Okyere told the person in response, “Preach.”
On Tuesday, many social media users criticized the star for running with the offensive comment while casually replying to a stereotype joke about Black people.
Okyere made headlines regarding racial stereotypes a few weeks ago, Dispatch reported via AllKpop.
Okyere was caught in a controversy earlier this month when he called out high school students for donning blackface while imitating dancing pallbearers in Ghana.
Social media users called him out and reminded him of the time he pulled a slant-eye gesture in a popular comedy show.
As a result, Okyere set his Instagram account to private before deleting it completely.
