Ruthie Ann Miles Out of ICU, Second Baby Safe After Crash That Killed Daughter

Broadway star Ruthie Ann Miles is now out of the intensive care unit after a fatal car crash that killed her four-year-old daughter and a one-year-old boy this week.
Miles was with another mother, Lauren Lew, when 44-year-old driver Dorothy Bruns sped through a red light and ran over their children, Abigail and Joshua, in Brooklyn on March 5.

The fourth and a fifth victim were rushed to New York-Presbyterian Methodist Brooklyn Hospital, but the two children could not be saved.
Miles, who is pregnant with her second baby, was in critical condition. Lew also sustained injuries.

In an update on March 8, Miles’s husband, Jonathan Blumenstein, announced on Twitter that she has been moved from the ICU. Their second baby is also safe.
Blumenstein expressed gratitude for all the support:
A GoFundMe page set up by loved ones and fans has also amassed at least $400,000 since the unfortunate incident.
