One 27-year-old mechanic from Shenyang, China wanted you use his skills to build something special for the girl he liked.
Tong Aonon spent $460 on 840 Rubik’ cubes, two months of planning and three days to actually build a massive portrait of his crush’s face.
Unfortunately, when he presented the 2.6-meter-high by 1.37-meter-wide work of art to the woman, she rejected him.
At least he’s not the kind of mechanic to stay broken hearted. Tong told CNN (via Shanghaiist):
“I’m not giving it too much thought. I simply wanted to surprise her and tell her I like her … but I was rejected.”
While he’s not at all bitter over the rejection, he doesn’t know what to do with his giant portrait of that girl.
At the very least he could transition into a successful Rubik’s cube artist.
