Many Star Wars fans showed their support for Rose Tico, played by Kelly Marie Tran in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” after trolls harassed the Vietnamese-American actress and pushed her off Instagram.
Nerds of Color hosted “Rally for Rose” at Bayfront Park between Hall H and the Hilton outside of Comic-Con in San Diego, California on Saturday.
The gathering showed some love for Tran, who became the first-ever woman of color to be part of a cast of a mega-franchise such as “Star Wars.”
