By Ryan General
Rommy Kuperus is a Dutch designer who creates delicious-looking handmade bags, purses, necklaces, brooches, and bowties inspired by food.
Her amazing take on uncooked instant ramen won hearts online last year when its images went viral on social media.
Using clay, foam, PU leather, and paint, Kuperus has created a variety of highly-detailed bags that accurately mimic the dishes which inspired them.
Check out this delectable Chinese moon cake purse priced at €375 ($421):
Made of hard foam and faux leather, this purse has enough space inside for some small items such as a phone, cash, cards, and other essentials.
Meanwhile, this extremely detailed sushi (maki) purse sells for €395 ($443):
Compared to other items on her catalog, this purse can hold more items due to its spacious interior.
Kuperus also designed this sushi box purse which is available for €255 ($286).
The details on this design are so phenomenal you can almost smell the fresh sushi from the box.
Aside from bags and purses, Kuperus also designs accessories, like this sushi bow tie:
Kuperus’s growing food collection, which includes a variety of snacks and dishes from all over the world, can be found on her website rommydebommy.com.
Since they are made by hand, delivery usually takes 5-10 days for accessories and 2-4 weeks for the bags.
